The fingerprint devices are widely used in organizations as it allows the company to identify a person by an human attribute, in this case their fingerprint. It holds a sensor to scan to person's fingerprint and a processor which has a database, which compares and matches the fingerprint in the database. Actually, it's mostly large corporations and gouvernments agencies that use this device, as the cost can still be very expensive. It is a way for corporations to protect themselves agaisnt security breaches and information leaks, as well as keeping track of employees timetables.
